Hello,
Regarding the 'User Profile Edit' layout, would it be possible to add an option in the Joomla core fields to enable or disable multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

Why am I requesting this feature?
I don’t want to 'Enforse Multi-Factor authentication' on a group of users, I want them to have the choice to enable it on their own.

Apparently, if the 'Onboard new users' option is enabled, users will see a notification at login offering them the option to set up MFA.

The issue is that if a user clicks the 'Don’t show this again' button, there’s no way to bring the notification back, making it impossible for them to enable MFA later.
It would be great if they could edit their account settings to activate it again.

Thank you for considering this request.

Lorenzo
This isn't really an EasyLayouts type feature - you are really wanting Joomla to offer a 'hide this option' for a period of time rather than forever.

I could give you some SQL to reset the option to hide if you want.

Review EasyLayouts. If you use EasyLayouts please post a rating and a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I'd prefer to let users enable MFA in their user profile whenever they want, but it seems that's proving more complicated than expected.
