Copy & Paste Sections, Rows and SubLayouts

The YOOtheme layout library is a helpful tool for saving and reusing complex layouts - but its sometimes slow and cumbersome to use.
This is especially true when you are prototyping a layout or page, or you want to quickly copy the content of a section or row into a sublayout etc. YOOtheme offers a copy action button for sections, rows and elements but this merely duplicates the item being copied and doesn't allow it to be moved betweek layouts, sub-layouts and templates.
This Copy & Paste Plugin enhances the built in copy feature to allow you to quickly copy sections, rows or sublayuts and paste them where you want - even into another template or page.

New Copy Icon In Settings

Sections, top level rows and sublayouts now have a new icon at the bottom of the settings tab.
Note that the icon appears when the content is not empty

Click Button To Copy

After you click the button the layout is copied to the browser session storage so you can paste it elsewhere.
A notification message gives you a helpful confirmation that the copy has been completed.

Customise Empty Section

Create a new section and click the customised pencil icon.
You will then see the paste button at the bottom of the page.

Click Button To Paste

After you click the button the layout is pasted from the browser session storage and you magically get a copy of your pasted section.
Pasting clears the session storage so if you want to paste another copy click the copy button again.
Remember you can copy sections, rows or sublayouts.
Rows can be pasted to replace empty rows but sections and sublayouts are interchangeable so you can copy a section into a sublayout and vice versa.
