Hi

Can we use Easylaouts to define custom front end forms ?

thanks

cyril
I was able to test it in uikit2 and uikit3 and it works fine - apart from the formatting of popover/tooltips in frontend forms (I'm looking into this)

Please see https://www.easylayouts.net/support/discussions/latest-build-of-easylayouts for a copy of the latest development build.

great !!

Hi we would need it with UIkit 2 and 3 for the beginning!

thanks

I have this working for com_contact forms now - you can select the fields you want and the layout you want to create customised contact forms.

Which CSS/JS framework would you/your template be using? I have tested it in Bootstrap 2 but if you wanted Bootstrap 3, 4 or UIkit 2, or 3 I could get those finished for you to try out.

That is something we are planning - we started development with support for com_content but com_contact and com_users are planned very soon. Creating custom contact forms - with full control over what fields are displayed and where will be part of that.

I'd expect us to have this type of functionality within the next 2-3 weeks.

p..s sorry just found this unsent message in a tab in my browser :(

p.p.s. the good news is I have done some work on this area over the weekend and am close to being able to create custom forms for com_contact :D

Hi Cyril,
at the moment Easy Layouts is only integrated with Joomla Articles, but we plan to expand it to other Joomla Core areas.

Actually for Joomla Contacts you may create custom forms right now using Joomla Custom Fields out of the box.

This document guides you through the process of adding Custom Fields to your Contact forms:

Hi Tony

Actually I meant replacing forms components such as rsform with the J! custom fields and EasyLayouts.

Since we now have custom fields even for the contacts components, could EasyLayouts be used to present custom contact forms in which we would have the custom fields and in which we could also hide/remove some classical fields.

thanks

Hey Cyril,

Do you mean for creating articles? I.e. com_content ?
