I would like to be able to use the <input placeholder="text to show in input field"> feature to advise users on what they are supposed to enter, for example the syntax "http://domain.com/folder" for a URL field. For that purpose, the edit layouts form needs an optional field "Placeholder" for every input field definition.
I worked it out. Custom CSS overwrites.
You are right. I had overlooked that. But where can I increase the size of textfields so that the placeholder fits? (I have already decreased the font size to 9px via my css.)
These are for Joomla custom fields? I believe they offer a placeholder already for text input fields
